Went to DC today after about 2 hours of sleep. Fucking dumb ass. Almost fell asleep in the shower. Did fall asleep in the car, and on the Metro.
Our first stop was the American History Museum, since the last time we went it was still being renovated. Not that much of a change, but it is still one of my favorite museums. The Natural Museum is cool and all, but American History fascinates me. Especially between the Civil War and WWII. The societal atmosphere in the encompassing time is quite interesting, and not to mention I'm a stickler for awesome stories that revolve around those time periods, especially the 20's and 30's.
Afterwards we trekked on down to the Verizon Center to find this little sushi place we noticed last time. I really wanted to get the yakisoba, just to see if it could stand up to the best. And of course they were out of soba noodles. I just got some sushi and picked off everyone else.
Now recently my stomach has been giving me hell again, so it was while we were on the way to the Jefferson memorial that I regretted NOT taking my happy meds this mornin'. Jesus Christ I had to go, and BAD. I couldn't find any porta-potties on tht way to the memorial, so I just sad fuck it, I can wait. And wait I did! And for good reason because that was one of the lulziest parts of the day. On the way, there was this HUGE ASS Scientology tent. Oh the MEMORIES! I had to take a picture! So I was shoving Josh towards the tent as well as Lauren causing as much of an uproar as possible. The scilons in there were getting so self conscious I was laughing my ass off. Things aren't as funn when the tables are turned huh???
But I gotta say, DAMN GIRLS, WHY YOU TAKE SO LONG IN THE BATHROOM?? At the TJ Mem, Lauren went to the girls...line. Seriously, that thing stretched around the corner holy high hell! I was able to walk my ass into the men's room, take the most satisfying public restroom dump in my life, and I was STILL OUT BEFORE LAUREN WAS EVEN THROUGH T
HE DOOR! You know what? I woldn't have even minded if any of those girls went to the men's room, I mean JEEZ! If you gotta go, go quick, I won't give a rats ass.
Slept on the way back on the metro, slept in the car. So I think I managed to gain about 2 more hours of sleep total. Still not very cool though, I mean...srsly, it was spread too far between, its like they never even happened other than the fact that there are now huge chunks of memories cut out.
The ride to DC was much more enjoyable, if only because a little girl fell into my lap while I was sleeping and woke me up. The expression on her face was PRICELESS.
